Presentation of Meg Lunn letter to RIPN John Kenny
Jack Selway reads the letter to an RI President from IP Megs Lunn RC Kalibo D-3850 Philippines

Hi there, if Paul Harris is only alive today....

I have a lot of things to tell him......however, his spirit lives on. I, being only a 5-year old Rotarian has been blessed with so much friends and work thru Rotary. Since I became a member, I was involved right away, as club Asst. Sec. Treasurer, then as proxy Secretary. The next year, I was club Secretary and the Most Outstanding in the District at that. I am at the same time three years consecutive Fellowship District Chair - a perpetual position I have in the District now (smile). Rotary has been my life since 2004. After 2004, I lost my husband, all the more that I became more determined and persuasive in all our projects. I became more involved and focus. I have nothing to give except my dedication to the Four Way Test, devotion to the Objects of Rotary, and a little resources to help around.

I can never imagined my life without Rotary. I love the community I serve. More importantly, it's a good thing I am a Rotarian, it gives me miracle everyday to live longer and to live with a purpose. Now, I am the incoming club president, my life continues to have purpose. My membership to Rotary, I owe to my late husband, Rtn. Lew Lunn, who enjoys the fellowship anywhere ship Rotary. What I am now, and have become is because of him.

The only wish I have in the future is that hopefully I can meet one day any of our International Presidents, that even Paul Harris is no longer around in flesh, I will feel him by spirit when I meet one. Happy birthday Paul Harris - your life is an inspiration. God bless you all! Thank you!

Cheers, IP Megs Lunn RC Kalibo D-3850 Philippines
