Dear Rotarians of New York

We at Rotary Club of VOULA / 2470 District-GREECE express our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the victims of the tragic events of September 11. No word can express our sadness at this needless loss of innocent lives and devastating destruction.

We would also like to extent our condolences to all Rotarians affected by the terrorist attacks in New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania.

Kindly distribute our message to all of your member clubs.  On behalf of all VOULA club Rotarian members and their families

Dear President and friends,

The members of the Rotary Club of Paris, certainly like all our friends in the world, are shocked by the horrible, obnoxious and inconceivable tragedy which has just struck your country and your city.

Our sadness and our emotion are immense.  Please, do not hesitate if necessary to call on us if we can help in anyway.

We assure you as well as all the New York's Rotarians of our indestructible and profound friendship.

Alain de KAENEL

Rotary Club of Paris

Hope you will excuse my English...

JFK in the sixties have said "Ich bin ein Berliner", here, in France,

today, we would like to say " I am a New-Yorker" !

I also would like to offer our condolences to the victims and their

families.

Dear Matts our sympathy to all of our fellow men in the U.S.A., this state of war that you have recently lived must have been  a devastating experience. I suffered every minute of it , for some extrange reason the first thing that came to my mind was the day that JFK was shot and the anger and impotence I felt that day  was again felt . May God give you the intelligence to react with wisdom and expedience to prevent this from happening again. Having been many times a visitor to the beautiful city of New York and visited the Towers

made me feel somehow  uneasy remembering seating down having lunch and a plane ending my life, it is a weird feeling but I am sure nothing compares to the experience you just went through.

My prayers will be for the diseased and the recovery of the people of the US.A.

Dear Matts,

I visited your website today and found your typical Swedish name.

I am Inge Andersson from Hässleholm in Sweden, D2400, PDG in 97/98.

I am so sorry about the catastrophe in NY yesterday. Please forward mine and my wife's condolences to your fellow Rotarians in NY!

We feel with you and feel the attack is a threat to the entire world!

Dear Rotarian friends in New York and Downtown New York

We are deeply shocked and moved by the unbelievable terrorist act against
the USA and against New York City. Please receive our compassion and
solidarity from the bottom of our heart.

We send you our deepest sympathies also on behalf of Rotary Switzerland
District 2000.

President

Dear Helen Breisler,

my family and I lived in NY from 1988-1991 and I was invited to join the Rotary Club of NY in 1990.

I want you to know that our thoughts are with you; we pray and hope that you, all Club-members and your families are safe;

you should know that Germany, my country stands as firmly as I have ever seen by the USA; people of Berlin for instance respond to Kennedy's "ich bin ein Berliner" by saying " we are New Yorkers"; believe me the Neidharts are certainly New Yorkers too; we are shocked; we love your country and your city in particular.

Also on behalf of my fellow Rotarians of the Rotary Club Meerbusch, Germany

WE ARE CLOSE TO YOU, WE ARE AMERICAN!!!

Andrea Orsini- President or Rotary Club Fucecchio- Santa Croce Sull'Arno 207 district ITALY

Dear Rotarian friends in New York City,

We hope that all of you and your families and friends are safe and sound. Be assured that overseas, in particular in Germany, everybody is deeply shocked and angry about this barbarian attack on civilisation. In many German cities there are marches to show solidarity with New Yorkers and all Americans and public worships to pray for the victims and their families.

Please let me know if I can be of any help.

God bless you all,

Gerd
