To Matts and all Rotarians in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania who

are directly affected by the unbelievable terrorist activities that

have caused such harm and destruction to so many.

Our deepest sympathy  to you on behalf of the 1800+ Rotarians in District 7820 on the

eastern coast of Canada. Please be assured that you are in our  thoughts and prayers each day as you struggle to cope with this  tragedy of such immense proportions. We are encouraging our clubs to  direct donations and/or other forms of assistance through the Rotary  Club of New York. I trust that this is still the most effective way to

help. Have courage, and may we all strengthen our resolve to multiply  our Rotary endeavors to promote real peace, goodwill and international  understanding among nations while increasing our efforts to rid the  world of fear and terrorism!

Tom Wilkinson, Governor, D7820, Zone 22  Halifax 81

Dear Matts

On behalf of my Club of Calgary Crowchild, District 5360, I send our deepest condolences to the Citizens of New York who have lost loved ones, and express our extreme sadness and sorrow at this dreadful tragedy and for all those injured.  We are comforted by the bonding of our Rotary Fellowship, and offer you our support at this time of grief and desolation.

Let us hope for peace and recovery without retribution, and that once again, the day will arrive when we can walk freely in this otherwise wonderful world.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in New York, and the country.
